Who VISTORUS helps

Two core mandates. One partner on-ramp.

Most organizations can access platforms, ideas and engineering capacity. The harder gap is executive accountability for what gets funded, how partners are governed and whether the investment produces value.

Executive mandate

CEOs, boards & PE operating partners

Add fractional or interim technology and AI leadership when a portfolio-company mandate is urgent, accountability is fragmented or a permanent appointment is premature.

The commercial focus

Executive ownership around the delivery work.

Engineering teams design and build the technology. VISTORUS establishes and runs the executive decision system around the work: priorities, economics, governance, partner accountability, value realization and capability transfer.

01

Investment

Make finance-credible fund, stop and scale decisions against a defined value case.

02

Growth & margin

Improve practice economics, pipeline quality or operating performance.

03

Delivery control

Align decision rights, partners, commercial choices and escalation paths.

04

Durability

Leave a stronger operating model, evidence base and internal capability.

Primary commercial mandate

01

Fractional, Interim & Retained Technology Executive

Embed senior ownership when the technology or AI mandate is real, the leadership gap is immediate and a permanent hire is premature or still in progress.

How VISTORUS works

One mandate. Clear authority. Measurable outcomes.

VISTORUS provides senior executive ownership while internal teams and delivery partners handle implementation. Roles, decisions and commercial boundaries are agreed at the start.

01

What must change?

The mandate begins with a specific economic, operating or growth outcome.

02

What authority is granted?

The sponsor, decision rights, escalation path and success measures are explicit.

03

Who will build it?

Internal teams, hyperscalers, systems integrators or specialists deliver the technology. VISTORUS does not imply a standing bench.

04

How is value proven?

Operating evidence and fund, stop or scale criteria are built into the cadence.

Ways to engage

Recurring leadership first. Bounded projects when they fit.

Fractional, interim and retained roles are the core VISTORUS model. The Diagnostic and Accelerator provide lower-commitment starting paths when the immediate need is a defined decision or execution-ready brief.

02Fractional or retained

AI/Cloud Practice & GTM Executive

Give a consulting firm senior ownership of practice growth without waiting for a permanent executive hire.

  • Offering and differentiation architecture
  • Alliance, pipeline and pursuit discipline
  • Practice economics and operating cadence
  • Senior client-room and partner leadership
Commercial modelMonthly retained mandate
034 to 6 weeks

Value Realization Accelerator

Convert a defined technology or AI priority into an execution-ready mandate.

  • Baseline and ranked value opportunities
  • Business case and operating implications
  • Implementation brief, owners and partner path
  • Go, stop, redesign or scale decision

Technology & AI Value Diagnostic

Resolve one investment decision before committing to a broader program.

  • Baseline economics and value pool
  • Ranked workflow or vendor-cost priority
  • Owner, KPI baseline and stop criteria
  • Finance-credible decision brief
Commercial modelFixed fee, scoped at booking

The Diagnostic and Accelerator are optional starting paths; neither should understate a continuing leadership need. Implementation and specialist-builder costs are scoped separately. VISTORUS does not represent a standing implementation bench or earn platform-consumption revenue.

For consulting & AI delivery partners

Add senior GTM and client leadership without a permanent hire.

VISTORUS works with consulting firms and specialist AI development companies through two paths: an embedded AI/cloud practice and GTM mandate, or bounded executive support for a named pursuit that needs stronger discovery, a finance-credible value case and senior client-room ownership.

Roles, economics, IP, account ownership and delivery liability are agreed for each pursuit.

The model can include qualified international AI development firms expanding in the US when the opportunity, client fit and delivery responsibilities are explicit. Engagements are named, disclosed and non-exclusive. VISTORUS works alongside hyperscaler, SI and established partner programs.

When the mandate is real

Buying triggers that justify embedded leadership.

VISTORUS engages when there is a named sponsor, a material operating or growth mandate and enough authority to run a real executive decision cadence.

01

A CIO, CTO or technology leader has departed, is overloaded or has not yet been hired.

02

An AI initiative is stalled because ownership, economics or decision rights are fragmented.

03

A PE operating partner needs accountable technology and AI leadership inside a portfolio company.

04

A consulting firm needs an executive owner to build or scale its AI/cloud practice and GTM motion.

05

A named pursuit needs stronger executive discovery, value framing and client-room leadership.

06

A permanent search is planned, but the mandate cannot wait for the appointment.

Principal-led by design

Anuj Mathur

Founder & Managing Principal

Anuj combines three vantage points: building and scaling AI, cloud and professional-services practices at AWS and Google Cloud; serving as CIO of CGAP, hosted at the World Bank, across 45 countries; and leading enterprise transformation at EY and BearingPoint/KPMG.

The work is senior, direct and embedded. Anuj establishes and runs the executive decision system covering priorities, economics, governance, partner accountability, value realization and capability transfer.

VISTORUS is independent of any single hyperscaler, integrator or delivery firm. Partners are selected non-exclusively for client fit, their role is disclosed and VISTORUS does not depend on platform-consumption revenue.

Based in the Washington, DC metro area, VISTORUS supports remote and on-site engagements globally. Anuj's prior CIO remit spanned 45 countries.

When the mandate cannot wait

Where is executive ownership missing?

A 30-minute mandate discussion determines whether the need calls for fractional or interim leadership, a consulting-practice mandate, or a bounded Diagnostic or Accelerator. If the authority, economic stakes or fit are not sufficient, VISTORUS will say so.
